Insurance Benefits and Financial Responsibility

Insurance policies and benefits vary greatly. Townsend has contracts with most health insurance plans, HMOs and arranged care companies. We will help you obtain information about your policy. Your insurance carrier may require reviews of your treatment during your stay. We will work with your insurance company to provide the information required to determine medical necessity. However, Townsend has no control over the outcome of these reviews and these reviews do not guarantee payment by your insurance carrier. Please understand that Townsend cannot hold your insurance company responsible for payment of fees. An insurance policy is a contract between you and the insurance company.

Patients are responsible for co-payments and deductibles. Personal checks and credit cards are accepted. Bring your insurance ID card and your driver’s license.

If you have questions regarding financial considerations, or need assistance, the Townsend patient financial services department is available to help. Call them at 337-205-1715.
